Portland, Oregon:

Continuing the strong momentum from their successful pitch in December’s “Champion of Champions” citywide Demolicious startup competition, Human Intelligence® has expanded in 2026.

New members of this groundbreaking human-authentication startup include CTO Ron Craswell and two senior marketing leads: Monique Torres and Kieran Cannistra.

“We are excited to expand our team during this time of AI upheaval, further solidifying our position as the market leader in the authentication of genuine human-made content,” said Human Intelligence® co-founder Kira Cleveland. “With this team, we are poised to win.”

Torres, a PSU graduate, comes to Human Intelligence® from a two-decade career as a senior marketing manager at Intel, where her copy and go-to-market expertise helped Intel establish itself in new markets and built out a groundbreaking new lead-gen strategy for the silicon market leader.

Cannistra, a graduate of Harvard and Yale, brings to Human Intelligence® two decades of experience as a senior storyteller and communications lead for IBM. Early in her career, Cannistra also worked as the personal assistant to bestselling author Sherry Turkle.

Craswell is a Seattle-area technology leader and five-time founder, with experience spanning Google, Facebook, OneLogin, Censys, and numerous startups. He brings deep technical expertise in identity systems, distributed systems, cryptography, data engineering, mobile and video platforms, and e-commerce. He holds five patents. Craswell was recruited to the team by Human Intelligence® co-founder Ned Hayes, who previously worked alongside Craswell under Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

“Ron is a hands-on innovator and customer-focused product leader,” said Cleveland. “We are scaling up for a big play, and we have the right technical leader who has delivered highly reliable global B2B and B2C systems. We are excited for the future of Human Intelligence®.”

Cleveland and Hayes previously led a team together for SnowShoe / Loyalti, a national leader in retail and identity systems. Cleveland holds an MBA from Portland State University and Hayes holds multiple graduate degrees, with coursework at UC Berkeley and Stanford University Graduate School of Business. The leadership team is composed of identity systems veterans with a proven record of shipping patented software innovations at Adobe, Microsoft, Intel, Xerox PARC (SRI) and Vulcan.
